Congressional Constituent Contact Program

Letters and phone calls to elected officials are an important way for ExxonMobil employees and retirees to voice their opinions on public policy issues. There is no disputing that the advocacy efforts of our Citizen Action Team members are recognized on Capitol Hill.

Our elected officials have to consider hundred of bills each year and rely heavily on constituent input to assess potential impacts on their district. For this reason, ExxonMobil is launching a Congressional Constituent Contact Program (CCC) to broaden our existing grassroots infrastructure. The CCC allows us to communicate ExxonMobil's views on key topics by using an old-fashioned, but highly effective approach - longer-term, district-based constituent relationships.

CCC members will establish "in-district" relationships with their assigned Member and serve as a valued resource for understanding the localized impacts of governmental policies, particularly reinforcing the impact of such policies on ExxonMobil employees, retirees, shareholders and assets that are located in their districts.
